How I got started

Koptekst 4

A few years back I was actively self-medicating, but I lacked the self-reflection to see the underlying reasons. I eventually read some books about the neuroscience involved in substance use. They explained how our minds can create incredibly loving and peaceful experiences without the need of a pill.

They suggested meditation, which I decided to try for the next six months. I later joined my first yoga class with my teacher Robert who spoke about the connection between our emotional and physical states. He taught me that if I can align my body and emotions, my thoughts will quiet down enough for me to connect to who I truly am.

Now, I use Yoga, energetic therapy, and brainwave training as tools to align with that inner self. I believe in serving a greater community because we all deserve to connect to and trust who we really are.

Rafiki Yoga is my service to the community.
